 I think there are many similar flies, so this one might not be very easy to identify at the species level.
IN Japan,We can not identification of Lauxaniidae.
The Lauxaniidae expert from Europe said that this should be Homoneura sp.
Any identification beyond this would be almost impossible even if there would be a specimen available. |

以前、Bayer製薬のHPから動薬研究がダウンロードできたような気がしたので、見てみたのですが、現在は出来ないようでした。変わりに、獣医療関係者のための会員ページが出来てて、そこではPDFで見れそうな感じだったのです。しかしそれにはパスワードなんかが必要で、見れなかったので、件のアブの文献リストを挙げてPDFで見たいと問い合わせた所、バイエル様より一枚のCDRが届きました。
デジタル動薬研究・・・２００１年に動薬研究を復刻した際に作ったものらしいです。動薬研究１号から６０号まで入ってます。・・・すごい・・・結構感動・・・アブの記事もハエの記事も全部入ってました。 丁寧に応対していただいたバエイル製薬担当者に感謝多謝でございます。
今度の談話会でワシに会う人で、この文献必要な人はいうてくだされ・・・

 I found the Japanese name for this fly on one of the Japanese web pages, but could not find the scientific name.

 I think this is a Stenodryomyza sp. This fly is not as dark as the more common Stenodryomyza formosa, and also the wing has fewer spots on different areas of the wing.

 Some dipterists from Europe think that this image shows a Psilidae fly, although they were not sure. I have no idea what this could be. I think it is Platystomatidae species.My picture is Lamprophthalma japonica Frey. It is similar to your picture.(?) Don't you see so?
Yes I think it is the same species (or very similar). I think you used more flash for the photo, that is why the colors are different, but the features of the fly are identical as far as I can see.

 This fly was observed in mid winter. I have no idea what family this fly belongs to. Has notable bristles on the side of the wings.

 This species was quite common in late summer and early autumn in Kizu, Kyoto prefecture.The silver-colored thorax might be helpful for identification.
I think it is Platypezidae species too.
But I do not know that genus. Please reference to No.972. |
