I think this is a Stenodryomyza sp. This fly is not as dark as the more common Stenodryomyza formosa, and also the wing has fewer spots on different areas of the wing.
Dryomyza formosa ・・・・Doryomyzidae
Some dipterists from Europe think that this image shows a Psilidae fly, although they were not sure. I have no idea what this could be.
I think it is Platystomatidae species.
My picture is Lamprophthalma japonica Frey.
It is similar to your picture.(?)
Don't you see so?
Yes I think it is the same species (or very similar). I think you used more flash for the photo, that is why the colors are different, but the features of the fly are identical as far as I can see.
This fly was observed in mid winter. I have no idea what family this fly belongs to. Has notable bristles on the side of the wings.
genus Tephrochlamys?or Orbellia?
This species was quite common in late summer and early autumn in Kizu, Kyoto prefecture.
The silver-colored thorax might be helpful for identification.
I think it is Platypezidae species too.
But I do not know that genus.
Please reference to No.972.
This seems to be a quite common fly in the late autumn and early winter in Japan. I am not sure whether this belongs to Muscidae.
may be ....Lispe sinica ?? Muscidae
This species has big palpi.
thorax has 3 stripes
I think this species is Latreille sinica Hennig.（shina-hoso-katoribae）
My picture is Latreille sinica Hennig.
It is very similar to the pictureNo.1013.
In KANTO area, this species is common in autumn.
But it is hard to identify diptera spicies by picture.
Please confilm by yourself.
バグリッチさん・・Latreille sinicaではなく Lispe sinicaでござる。
Yes, I agree with the identification.
This fly was very pretty too. I saw this fly only once last year, so it might not be a very common species.
I think ,this species is "Dexopollenia flava Aldrich,1930".
yellow body & golden hear in thorax
this species is found in mountain pass & on the some flowers.
this one is comon species ,in Nagano pref. Above sea level [ of over 500m ]
over 500m highland
Yes I observed this fly at an elevation of around 600m in Kyoto prefecture mountains.
Yes I agree.
This was a very pretty Tabanidae seen last summer.
Can anyone suggest subfamily, genus, maybe species?
I think ,"Hirosia sapporoensis (shiraki)"
golden body tabanidae.
