Fore femora with two strong hair-like bristles on posterodorsal part; face with six bristles, the upper three being strong; third costal section with five conspicuous setae. In female, abdomen uniformly grayish-brown, without Fasciated marking; several welldeveloped marginal bristles on each tergite . . . . . . . . . . . .. . . . P. major Meijere - Fore femora without conspicuous bristles; face with one or two strong bristles; third costal section without conspicuous setae. In female abdomen with brownish or grayish fasciated pattern on each tergite, without strong bristles .. . . . . . .2 2. Blackish-brown and smaller species, less than 5.0 mm., in length; abdominal segments with fasciated marking distinctly; ciliation of fore femora in the male short, not strongly flattened apically . . . . . . . . P. sinensis (Schiner) - Grayish-brown and larger species, at least 5.0 mm., in length, first and second abdominal segments without fasciated marking; fore femora in the male with long ciliation which is curved and flattened apically . . . . . . . . . .. . .
